Mick and Merry

CHESTNUTS B kept the pressure on their rivals in the race for the Nuneaton Winter Snooker League crown with a 3-1 away verdict at Bowling Club A with `Big’ John Williams their man in form.

The experienced potter sank a 48 break to take the opening game before Adam Edge, who pocketed a 35, doubled the lead in the next. Mick Price ensured the success but the Bowlers salavaged some pride with Stuart Reed’s black ball verdict in the last.

Reigning champions Atack C cued up a 3-1 home win against Atherstone Cons despite the latter taking the first frame through Mark Chapman but Andy Kean, Glen Locker and Nick Stanford turned things around.
